Twin Flames vs Soulmates vs Karmics (Understanding the Difference) 🤔

Terminology in the twin flame community is so often argued about. Far too much sometimes.

But sometimes I think this terminology matters. You might hear twin flame and soulmate be used interchangeably, but often this is by people who are not actually on the twin flame journey.

There’s nothing wrong with that. It’s an incredibly rare experience you cannot understand unless you’ve experienced it.

But for twin flames, understanding the difference can be important. Misunderstanding can even hold us back from union.

Even within the twin flame community, people disagree with the terminology. This is totally fine, and I don’t want to get into the nitty-gritty, but I thought we’d cover the broad strokes to make sure you know the difference.

They are all spiritual connections. They’re all here to have a positive impact on your life (even though it won’t always feel that way) and… they can all be pretty confusing.

You might have even heard the advice: the only person who knows is you.

This might be the case. But that’s not useful when you feel completely confused so we’ll cover some advice on how you can figure it out as well.

Twin Flame Q&A 🙋‍♀️: A Twin Flame Awakening

Most of the twin flame journey is entirely unique and individual. We have covered stories before of those experiencing their own awakenings in very different ways.

For some, the experience seems to be very sudden. They feel like they’ve stepped in front of a truck and their whole world is blown apart. From what I’ve seen, this suddenness is the minority.

For most, this awakening is more of a slow and gradual process. Past beliefs just seem to fade away and what once seemed incredibly important just becomes… background.

It might start with a panicked sense of ‘what the hell is going on’ or a calm understanding that you are exactly where you need to be at this moment. Maybe some experience both at the exact same time.

For many, it can include some pretty serious soul shock. It can shake you to your very core, and things are not going to be the same again.

An awakening is unlikely to be completely linear. You might jump stages or struggle with doubt and confusion when the day before you were completely sure of yourself.

However you experience your own awakening, it will come with a greater understanding of your own spiritual side.

You might not immediately reach physical union with your twin, but your tools to help further that journey will certainly be heightened.
